Rock Band - My Chemical Romance commissioned us to create some drone footage for their social media accounts. Stadium MK was one of their biggest gigs for this tour so it made sense to get the footage here for them.
Drone laws are very strict around large crowds (for good reason), we were allowed to fly the drone on the outside of the stadium and not over the crowds at all. Our take off position was next to local police and the health and safety team of the stadium, no pressure at all flying the drone then!
Due to our drone pilot, Adam, having his drone qualification and vast experience, the drone flight went really smooth and we got the band some great footage. We only had a 30 minute window so had to make every second count.
In post production we added sound effects as well as text. Finally we put their logo over a light source (that we created in post production) that made it look like it was been projected from the ground. All just to add that extra polish to the final video.
Both the text and the logo were "tracked" to the stadium to make them look fixed in position, a look we really like here at the business visuals as it makes them look part of the actual scene at the time.
What a fun project to work on and the music did indeed sound great!
